The Big Bang Theory

I don’t generally watch much television.  It isn’t just because most of the shows hold no interest for me.  Mostly, it’s because the commercials make me want to throw things at the television that are likely to damage the television beyond repair.  I’ve never watched The Big Bang Theory before this week, but I did DVR it so I could watch the commercials fast-forward their insignificant little lives away.  After just a few minutes of watching the show, I managed to dislike the character Sheldon quite a bit.  But why did I bother watching the show this week?  Ahhh… because Wil Wheaton was a guest star, and I do rather like Wil Wheaton.  Most of the episode was kind of silly, but the Delightfully Evil Wil Wheaton sure did pwn the annoying Sheldon!

Delightfully Evil Wil Wheaton FTW!  (Glad to hear your Nanna is doing well.)

OMG how can you not love Sheldon? He’s the best character on TV! Damn that Wil Wheaton!

You’ll have to watch more. Sheldon is sweet and lovable in his own unique way. Wil’s episode doesn’t cast Sheldon in a flattering light, I’ll grant you that. I think if you get to watch the first season, you’d grow to love him. The stories that showcase his deep love for Spock are my favorites. Makes my obsession seem pretty normal.

Now, Howard will make you want to loose your lunch from time to time.

The first and second season should be in your Netflix queue ASAP. You’ll have the same experience as my best friend and I. We love Penny, but relate to the boys.

Where would we be today without TV? Never Mind!

Shows that I Tivo are Mad Men(AMC), Californication and the wicked Dexter(ShowTime). HBO has some decent stuff from time to time(Ever heard of the Sopranos??)

Paul… Of course I’ve heard of the Sopranos! I have the entire series on DVD, that’s how much I love it.

I dunno, Acadia. When I compare Sheldon to pretty much any of the characters I love from any of the shows I’ve watched, he doesn’t compare favorably. But…

Tina… I MIGHT give the show another chance since Sheldon loves Spock. I love Spock. I’ve already got 400+ items in my Netflix queue, but I suppose there’s always room for more. (Not really. I their limit is something like a paltry 500.)
